    Hmm... I sent you and MarkG an email on November 11th, asking that my username be changed from Legman back to Winston. Haven't gotten a reply yet.

    But I'll be the first to acknowledge that you've been very busy! It'd just be nice getting an answer.

      Well things have been slow, but still, you are more likely to antagonise with that kind of attitude and less likely to get stuff done. But I have a question. What has happened with Snapcase's login which was broken? Has it died? Could you just add the 1600 posts he had to his previous account?

            I responded to that email, Legman... did you not get it? In any event, my response said to use the name change feature.

            This is exactly the request that the feature was designed for.

              IF you are that busy, get more help. THAT'S WHAT NORMAL "BUSINESS PEOPLE" DO WHEN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS.

              MARK, YOUR attitude (visa-a-vis your last post) is nothing new to me and frankly doesn't surprise me. I've come to expect it and have been ever since I became a member.

              Well Dan, I think you should get that LINK fixed to contact "you people" via e-mail also because that's how I've sent my e-mails.

                I think the problem comes from having an apostrophe in your name. I noticed this when sending pms to Horse. The script puts and "apos" in place of the ' Try playing around with changing your apostrophe. If all else fails, change your name.

                  Muad|APO|Dib

                  And this is what you see when you try to send to that username:

                  We're sorry, but the recipient you've entered is not a registered member of our BB. Please double-check the spelling.

                    But if you remove the apo and the lines and put in a ' you can send the pm. at least with AH, you can.

Our customer service does not "suck", and last time I checked you are not a customer but a visitor. We are doing the best job that we can to keep these forums running in tip-top condition, and sometimes we just don't have all the answers up front. Please try to be a little more understanding and careful in your wording -- we are people too, you know, and words can be hurtful.

                      As I suggested <A HREF="http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum20/HTML/001193.html">in this thread</A>, try these methods if you're having PM problems:

                      "Try closing your browser, and logging in again to your PM area. If that doesn't work, empty your browser's cache, close your browser and try again. If the problem is still persisting then try editing your profile by changing your account password and then try to check your PM -- this is something I just thought of while contemplating this problem once again.

                      If this all fails, email us with all the details. All that said, let's just forget all the past unrest and try to start from a clean slate to work together to figure out what is going on".

                        Forgot to comment on this in my post above...

                        It is working fine, have had no previous complaints about it and, to that effect, you would need to be more specific for my to even investigate what you think might be wrong. There are dozens of links throughout the site through which to contact us.

                        You may have very well sent us an email, but we did not get it because of mail server problems on your end, our end, who knows. I'm not saying that you never sent one, I am just saying thaT I never received one from you about this.
