  • In The Poster Profile...

In the poster profile, to determine how active a poster is, perhaps we should have a new section:

"Time of last post by user"
    -->Visit CGN!
-->"Production! More Production! Production creates Wealth! Production creates more Jobs!"-Wendell Willkie -1944

Yes! That would be very useful.

You can always do a search and look at their latest posts

It not only takes some time but for the heavy posters, there seems to be a limit to the listing, unless I have missed a simply filter?

Yes, for some reason the search feature isn't very reliable when you're trying to find a particular post. Sometimes it pops up, sometimes it doesn't. And it's not because of the 200 post limit.

A tag of latest post by this user would indeed be helpful.

The only reason the DC made the suggesiton is so he can put the little asterisk in his pet thread!

No, in Australia we don't live with kangaroos and koalas in our backyards... Despite any stupid advertisments you may see to the contrary... (And no, koalas don't usually speak!)

Yeah, I think most of us had already figured that one out

But, it would be an interesting feature if it is one of the options allowed in the script. If a hack is needed, I doubt we will ever see it

Yes, it would help in determining whether a user needs an *, if they have been inactive; but it would also show when people have been active and thus, how often Apolyton is accessed (good for the advertisers)

An idea, yes, and -- not to shoot this down in flames -- but one not to be looked at for now. Sorry.

we have a right to privacy?

ok I can care less about who knows when I posted last. But give me some examples of why you would need to know this information? You could be tracking my movements in an effort to thwart my plans of a socialist revolution in the U.S.

<u>Usefulness of the 'last post made' feature</u>

                        1. We'll know if a poster has died and his handle is up for grabs.

                        2. We can accuse newbies, who appear on the same date an old poster disappears, of being DLs with much more certainty

                        3. We'll be able to guess if an OT poster goes to the on-topic forums and if an on-topic poster gets lured to the OTF

                        4. We'll know if someone finds a new area 25 if they don't appear on the legit forums but their 'last post by' was 5 minutes ago.
