Haha, I remember when I put a bunch of people's sigs in my own, then added 101 of my own quotes... then just some meaningless ****... man that was funny

Yeah, it was funny... THE FIRST TIME...
Later usage of it earned you some time on the island

Having the same sig is just like putting on the same shirt and trousers day in and day out. You're going to stand out from the crowd for the wrong reasons - the odour of staleness for one.
