Well Maud'Dib... It was your second thread on the topic of Mao in less than 24 hours. You could have just easily posted it in your original thread. There is no need for multiple theads on the subject (Especially since it is being discussed in other places too)
Feel free to add it to your other thread... any additional threads on that subject in the otf will continue to be deleted without comment!

Sorry my dear friend but you made a terrible mistake this time.

Barbarians At The Gate was posted at 3AM EST on the 9th.
Fall From Grace-- A Maoian Saga was posted between 4:30AM & 5AM on the 10th (that's today). That's over 24 hours.

Second, thanks for your comment on my proposal.

Third, I don't have the luxury like some people who spend a gizillions endless hours on the forums. If there are other threads talking about the subject, YOU could've at least sent something to me in my private message box. But no, you treated a friend like some adverage spammer or DL. If this is how you treat your friends, god help your enemies.

Oh, I'm so mad I almost forgot:

Barbarians At The Gate and Fall From Grace-- A Maoian Saga ARE/WERE TOO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TOPICS.

The former was a mere comment, while the latter was a proposal.
        FYI

Well, you are correct on the times... This morning, they were right next to each other when I logged on at work. That was a mistake on my part. But I still would have deleted anyway.

I responded to your ICQ with more information on it.

Well, I enjoyed the first one, so can you just post this 2nd one as well. If you put it in the 1st thread, Ming is happy, and we can read it.

There was the counting thread that had everyone just counting... I didn't see when it disappeared, but it's not there now. Funny how it was mimicked at ACOL...

Yep, it's not there now - you can serch for "counting" and get the hit, but it's a broken link.
                <img src="/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1></font></td></tr></table></center>

lol! Who started it here? I can't remember now. Wasn't an ACOLyte was it? If not I guess we found another lurker 'cause we had a counting thread there ages ago. It was funny to see someone trying to get 'revenge' on ACOL by posting a thread like that back at us. In the end we had all kinds of counting threads but the Hex counting was the most successful. Guess that proves what a load of computer geeks we are.

Ming, the next time you deal with my "Temp Shop" threads after Mao starts the next one, can you just close it rather then delete it. I like to read what happened, and when I come home, its too late. Thank you.

I think I've just seen my first closed thread on the civ3 forum ("Sign up! Future CTP-2 reviewers needed!") - and I thought that yin26 was finally doing some moderating. Then I saw it was markos who closed the thread. So I'm still waiting...

I had a thread deleted recently. it was titled "Temporary Coffee Shop" and served as the temporary coffee shop. it got up to a grand total of 8 posts and wasn't deleted for quite a long time after the next installment of the coffee shop was posted. i estimated my thread lasted somewhere between 12 and 18 hours after mao started up the current shop.

All temporary coffee shops get deleted (and will continued to be deleted) when I see that Mao has set up the real one. Sometimes, it takes me a little longer to notice

                              LOL just noticed this thread.

well my thread was deleted today. approximately 2 hours ago. say 11-1-00 at 1300 pst. It was called: 'why I believe in satan'. It was an obvious copycat thread, hence why I was deleted. I thought it might actually make it though. Or at least only get locked. It was deleted less than 5 minutes later with no posts I think. It still seems like a legit thread. If he (we all know who that is) can go spouting off his religious babble, then I should be able to spout off my satanist babble

If there weren't 1000 religion threads already...

AH has been starting a religion free zone thread every 8 hours or so... those haven't lasted long either
