  • Private Messaging shows Your Password!

    Guys,

LOVE the new private messages. But one thing I'm seeing is that, while you're in the private messages section, it will show your password in the cgi script up in the location bar.

Is there a way to suppress this password listing?

Just thought you might want to know!

    Thanks!

I also noticed this, but it's only a problem if you're sharing a computer with someone, isn't it?

It has worked to my advantage, because for some reason I can't get to the PM page the usual way.

If you share a terminal, I guess a way around this is to delete the URL from your temporary internet files every time you finish using it.

It is a bit worrying, I agree. Especially when checking your PM in public places... a shame really since it's such a useful feature. I'm starting to enjoy it more and more

Can't it just use cookies like the normal posting page?

                      Everyone:

Dang! Just as I was beginning to warm up to private messages. Guess we'll just have to tuck this feature on a rarely-visited back shelf somewhere.

                      Too bad. It had potential.
