Isn't it about time that a decision was made about whether the post count is relevant or not? There have been a few conflicting messages on the subject.

I'd back ditching it entirely, but then you all could have guessed that.

That would never happen AH, the admin here keep a very tight check on these things, and quite how would they 'gain control'. Hack in to Apolyton and make another forum and appoint mods? I don't think so

I now understand the subplot running through here.

It just shows the lengths people will go to in order to up their post counts.

MarkG, what clearer evidence do you have that doing away with post counts is a most sensible way to improve the forums.

perhaps, but i like to believe that given time the "system"(in the good sense ) can change the way people use it, instead of the opposite

Yep, I will go with the notion that getting clean rid of the post count is the only realistic way you can hope to suppress these mindless idiots.....

25ers post counts should be reduced to zero BTW
