Useful Features for Private Messages

I would like to suggest two features for the Private Messages:
1. Have two buttons to scroll through messages. One steps forward and the other backwards.
2. A Drop down menu at the bottom of the screen similar to the one found in the regular forums. This allows direct movement to other forums without going through the front page.
