The Location Field.
One thing to get out of the way first: I have no problem with people putting strange & funny things in their location fields so they have interesting things to say underneath their name every post.
The problem is, we then don't know the actual location of the person, since they replaced it with their funny line. Look at

for instance: I want to know what Mr. Mad Monk's bedtime is, and for that you need a location to tell time zones. But his location is "of The Wild Frontier."
How about we have a location field in our profiles, AND a "funny line to go after every post" field. If people (like me) leave that field blank (or check a checkbox or whatever), then their location gets put under your name every post, just like it does now. People still get to use their funny lines if they want, but we can also see their location, too, if they wish to share it.
So, how about it?
