  • Dan: Congrats and a Renewed Plea

Congratulations on your recent ascent to Gamestats Operations Director. It is well deserved. I'm also pleased to see that you are remaining on at Apolyton, although I don't know how you'll have the time

I just wanted to take this opportunity to request that you take action to reinstate YYYH and Stewart Spink, now that you have some influence with Gamestats. It'd be a nice Apolyton birthday present, eh?

Now, I don't mean to start a renewed debate - the answer is either yes or no, and if the answer is no just close this thread and we'll say no more about it.

David was so excited when he read the news that he forgot to check to see if a congrats thread for me already existed!

      (~ just kidding ~)

As for how I am going to manage both positions, well, where there's a will there's a way I always say.

Anyway, here's the address for the "main" thread for ya, Dave: <A HREF="http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum20/HTML/000828.html">http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum20/HTML/000828.html</A>

Actually, I'm not sure if this question has been asked to the Admin yet: Do YOU want YYYH and SS back?
Who wants DVDs? Good prices! I swear!

I have a feeling that you, in particular, will have far more peace when you just give in

I really don't think "they" should give in. Both YYYH and Spink had screwed up before. And Spink at least is intelligent enough to realize that outsiders may see "hacking" when an invasion is broadcast. But Spink wanted to test the limits. He got a thrill out of it. Fine.

And I never saw a frank, non-Clintonesque apology with responsibility taken. Spink apolologized but it was full of caveats and complaints about the punishment. Rich for one was completely out of bounds. Like a little spoiled brat. (threatening Markos, etc.)

I bet if both those guys had taken full responibility and apologized (without whining or "demanding" punishment reduction)--Gamestats would have been much more likely to consider letting them back in. Either way it would have been much classier than the juvenile "bring us back" campaign.
