I use this program that gets rid of ads on webpages but I always deactivate it when visiting Apolyton because I don't know if it will cost Markos and Dan any mony when I use it. But until those popups are gone it is activated
<img src="/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1></font></td></tr></table></center>Where can I get this program?

I think other Hosted Site operators will agree with me that pop-ups suck greatly. When was the last time a professional sites had these things? Maybe Netcenter a few months back, but it included a "f*ck off, don't bother me again" option.
I've always felt that UGO was a horrible site with horrible content and also horrible ads. Those "Like, News" (TM) ads are stupid as all hell but these popups really pushes the envelope of intense hatred I have for this awful association. Since when did an "underground" association (UGO stands for UnderGround Online) have such a bright-colored design, pop-culture content, and otherwise is merely a mainstream content site disguising as an underground site? If any site tries to be underground it had better have content on illegal (or barely legal) activities. I now hate UGO more than any other association on the internet. Even the evil Network Solutions is a distant 2nd.

AIYAH!!! POP-UPS! Scourge of the universe! Make them go away! It's bad enough that the UGO banners frequently delay loading the page for so long, but to have to suffer pop-ups as well .... the indiginity!
Where's the rope?

Popups were what made Geocities lose a lot of (hmm... what's the word?). People went to other sites offering free space because of the pop-ups, and they got rid of them, now what is the host trying to achieve with pop-ups? I thought they were discredited a long time ago as too annoying."The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists."

Same, what they said. Quick trip to OT, make my daily thread, post a few, and I'm off to ACOL to join Saras, Roland and MtG.

I get the damn pop-ups, but no adds in them!!! Just frikin' blank boxes, and that really pushes the level of annoyance these things pose to an etirely new level.
It's probably just a problem with my browser, but adds or not, I still don't want the f****** pop-ups! GRRR!!!
