  • Markos this isnt funny anymore!!!!!!!

Today it happened about 3 or 4 times to me that IE 5 crashed when I selected a forum in the combo box and then hit go. As soon as I hit "Go" IE reports an internal error. Last time it did even crash when I just rolled over the "Go" Button.
This hasnt happened so often before. Somethings wrong there. Either with my IE or with your script!

        Happened in both i think.
Today even NT crashed and Netscape 4.7 when I looked at the forums.
Seems there is something wrong. Or something is very unstable!

If something is wrong it is most likely at your computer. I have never had the problems you describe with IE 5.

For what it's worth, it happened to me twice over the weekend when attempting to hop from the OT to the Apolyton forum. It was on a forum page both times, and each time I could run IE again and go to the forum without problem. Strange.

I was at my parents' and I'm not sure exactly what version they have, but it's IE 5.x if that helps.

Whatever you do, the OS shouldn't crash... If it does, it is win NT's problem!

Well NT didnt really "crash". I just got a message dialog poped up but I quickly clicked it away so I couldnt read it. NT ran with no problems. What I meant was: Even on a NT system my browser crashed. And this time it was a Netscape 4.7 and not IE 5.x.
Maybe some of the extras Mark has installed causes these problems.

As others have this problem too, I dont think it is related to my PC only.

                    (it also did on 98)...

I am using Netscape 4.73 on NT right now and it works fine.

If you are using NT, don't forget to upgrade to SP6a. SP6 is unstable. On one machine we have here it crashed three times in one morning.

acs doesn't crash on me on my win. machine, but it crashes all the time using netscape on all macs that I use, not just when i use the forums, but actually most of the time when i try to load the ctp2 page! On my dad's cool (Duke-issued) G3 laptop with ethernet broasdband access , the lousy imacs at my school, or the powermacs at the duke stations.
