Semms to work, Mark... Also, could you make it so that that's the page that you go to when you make replies is of the same kind?

Can't you learn some day that most internet users use IE because it is a superior product? Don't make stupid mods that only tradition-bound netscape-geeks can use!

it would if you added the post number after the date number. So it would look like http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum20/H...?date=17:18#14
<img src="/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1></font></td></tr></table></center>I'm not sure I can take the time of the last post...

Hugo, it is quite obvious from this case, that it is netscape that allows more and makes things easier...

What do you mean by that? You put the time of the last post behind the url in the topics list, so why can't you also put it in the url you're sent to when you post a reply?

this is definetely a good addition.... yes, it does work on ie now, but you sould always make things compatible for both. ie5 actually is a superior product to netscape (especially when you're using the netscape which ALSO COMES PACKAGED WITH APPLE COMPUTERS!

Well, maybe you could have the url in the topics list with only ?26 and not put the #26 behind it. That way you will be taken to the top of the page but the link will still show as visited (at least on the superior browser).

                        <center><table width=80%><tr><td><font color=000080 face="Verdana" size=2><font size="1">quote:

Maybe not all people would have read it from the beginning, but I think most people would prefer to go straight to the last page.

If you have the number of posts after the ? it will show as read not only when you have read it but also when you have just posted a reply. At least, it would in IE. If you want that in Netscape you would have to also use the # part which would send people to the last post, but you already said that you don't want that.

Funny, I thought most people use IE because it comes bundled on most computers, and Netscape dosen't.

                              Silly me.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Yes, it works. The only problem with the current situation is that when I have replied to a thread I have to check in the replies column to see if I have read it and with other threads I have to look in the topic column. Would it not be possible to use the number of replies instead of the ?date thing in the topic column?

And maybe you could also have the title of the topic link to the last page of multi-page threads. Now I have to click on that very small page-number to get to the last page of a thread; it happens sometimes that I mis-click and get to the wrong page.

If this is not possible or too much work don't do it, but I think it would make these great forums even better.
