    Slingshot,

Tell us the truth. You actually pulled that out of the briefing papers that Microsoft's lawyers are using in their defense during the DOJ hearings, didn't you?

(Note to BillG: j/k, so please don't delete my hard drive when I log onto your site to get my windows updates.)

ROFLMAO! Slingshot, you should seriously consider a career in comedy if you don't already have one...

                well, I'm close...

good job on the science stuff though...hehe...some people have way too much free time (and yes, I do realize the irony of this comment from me)

                  ...Might as well continue on...

So needless to say, sammyboy7's postulate raises some interesting consequences of uncertainty. As we all know now, his calculations hinge on the Plank Distrubution, ie. Rho=8*pi*h*c/(lambda^5(exp(h*c/lambda*k*T)-1), where h is Plank's Constant, c is the speed of light, lambda is the wavelength of thought posted, and T is temperature, reflecting the brightness of thought behind the post… That's obvious.

But what is most fascinating is how we can (through sammyboy7's genius) model an Apolyton forum member's post behaviour at various momentums. By taking the approximate range of thought (approximate due to uncertainty), we find that the wave function does not break down, but centers around a narrow range of thoughts.

Even more fascinating is the fact that such a wave function can be transformed into a Function one could call an Apolytoner profile. Using a modified Laplace transform and a few correction factors, we see our wave function turn into something descriptive (Figure 1).

By comparing the posts of MarkG and DanQ, we do in fact find an effective ratio of between 4.3:1 and 4.9:1 (with uncertainty) in favour of MarkG!

But that's not all! We can also eliminate everyone's concern about the Chicken fudge factor. In fact, a similar analysis of a Chicken particle (vs. an Apolyton Moderator particle) at various momentous thoughts reveals: (Figure 2)

                  1. A wider superposition curve
                  2. A completely different wave function transformation profile!

Actually Mao, this is a very busy time for me.

I think that our greatest fits of creativity come when we need to step back and see how silly the big picture of life can be.

Here I am, trying to shake off the day when images of Chicken wave functions are dancing in my head.

There I go, pow! Just finishing up some CAD work and I start thinking about the effects of a black hole forming from a singularity in peanut butter sandwich space-time. Imagine the even horizon! If the centre of the black hole has a floor in it, and the peanut butter sandwich is face down, it will never get sucked in!

Then sammyboy7 thinks up a crazy ratio, and I think this is a sign, signifying:
                    - that Apolytoners are bored
                    - that we have all this untaped, creative potential
                    - nothing

Personally, postulate #3 didn't do much for me, so here I write at midnight, because I can't sleep and because this is such a fun way to unwind! (large breath out. huuuuuuh!)

Well, the more we fool around on those OT forums, the more MING has to close using one-liners. (obviously the "Case Closed" line is permanent in his clipboard)

and the more postcount he receives.

Yes CyberShy... Thanks to being moderator, I do get MANY opportunities to use one liners.\
I wish that wasn't the case... but...

But what many of you may not know is that more than half my posts are in the on topic forums. I'm a gamer first, and I still post extensively in the Civ forums. People should give the other forums a look... we can always use more posters there

I used to only post on the On Topic forums, I only post on the Off Topic for about 3 months (since the Y2K problem ruined my till then favourite forum)

But lately I hardly (read: not) play any civ-related game anymore. I just don't have time to play mp (and single player is something that lost my interest long ago) anymore.

Oh well, debating is some kind of a game as well
