  • Does starting an On-Topic thread increase post-count?

This thread is to determine that question. On another VBB forum this was determined in a humorous fashion as someone started a thread to celebrate their 6000th post, only to find they still had 5999 posts. It wasn't me, by the way.

So I figured I may as well test this and determine once and for all if starting a thread does increase post-count.

EDIT: Well colour me surprised. It does increase post-count here.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Did you log-og and the back-on before making the thread?

Sometimes PC is only added later, or so it seems.
