Hacked account

I haven't used this account on any computer. and someone did break into my account and changed my profile. I swear I did not post the comments. Have a mod check the IPs for the posts made by the person in the middle of the thread and my own posts. They should be different.

Would it have mattered if I kept the profile changed?

I always get suspicious when someone asks us to check the IPs.
But you've changed your password so if it happens again, let us know.

Interesting... a different IP address was used for the posts you mentioned. However, that doesn't prove that somebody hacked your account... you could just be playing a game with us and switched computers

I will say from looking at the IPs. that nobody else from this site has used the IP addresses that were used to post the questionable posts...

If it happens again, let us know.

Perhaps he deposited his posts directly into the database, bypassing the need to actually use his account.

What I meant was that I wasn't using this accounr on any other computer. I have no other computers in the house. I am not playing a game with you. My account was hacked. You saw the different IPs. I am not the kind of person that would do something so childish.

I would never make up a story like this. Someone hacked my account. It was not from this computer I am using now.

That's what I'd like to know. I got e-mail reports of posts being made in my name and I went here to check it out after I made my 31 civ topic. I saw the profile and it had some dirty stuff in there.

I have no idea how he or she managed to get my password. But, it happened and we may never know who it was.

All I know is, I got post reports and someone was using my account. I dunno if the hacker was using my account for any other posts. All I wanted to do when I made this thread was to warn you all about this hacker who hacked my account.

I would think it highly unlikely that both your username and password could be randomly derived. Perhaps a drunken frenzy at some unremembered female's home??

No. Someone hacked my account here. Period. End of discussion. I know I'd have trouble believing me if I was in your position. I mod a couple places myself but guess what? It happened.

Are you perhaps a Jeckyl and Hyde type character, are their gaps in your life that you just cant quatify. Has anything like this happened to you before.
