Eh, FreeCiv seems to be still FreeCiv.

Urban Ranger- you know- I'd agree with you usually, but If I remember correctly, I got that answer from one of the makers of Guns Germs and Steel.

I got 15...I'm honored to be featured as answers for two of them, and to be the 2nd best answer for one of them (who started to story contest; Anatolia started it then I revived it (although actually it wasn't me alone at first, IIRC Timeline helped me set it up) then eventually dropped it and IIRC johncmcleod and then DC took it over)!

*goes off muttering and reminiscing about the good old days at the story forum...

Yeah...I was wondering about that. Ming certainly earned the deity ranking with his post count, but maybe it'd because he was a mod and changed his title to Deity? Or maybe because you were always officially a mod, and not subject to the same rankings as us, lesser beings?

On another note, wow, I'm amazed that my name even appears so much in the questions. I'm truly honored

I'll just keep to myself how spectacularly bad I would have done I taken the quiz...

however, I would have been right to 15 questions (including Q1 becaused I spent a week reading throug every Civ3 thread available when I registered)

Of course the question I came up with is a bonus.

But then again, some of the answers I would probably not have known if I weren't staff but I will never know.

I only knew a few, and they were not specific to Apolyton (like the order the Civ games were released).

So don't feel bad! (We weren't included in any of the questions anyway Ras, so bollocks on them! Nyah!)

I was somewhat involved in GGS as well, and as far as I recall FreeCiv and Guns, Germs & Steel were always seperate projects. This seems supported, as UR points out, by the fact that FreeCiv still exists and GGS has been dead for quite a long time already.
