  • Jeff Morris no longer at Firaxis

just learned today that Jeff Morris no longer works at Firaxis

Jeff left Firaxis last month to join Epic Games (makers of Unreal Tournament)

On Firaxis, Jeff worked on SMAC, Civ3 and Civ3: PTW (dont recall about Gettysburg)

On behalf of civers all over the world, my thanks to Jeff for his work on the game we love over the years! looking forward to convincing Epic Games on a TBS version of UT

I see that Dan Magaha, Mike Breitkreutz, and most importantly Soren Johnson are still there though. These guys were the ones I got most acquainted with as a Civ3 poster. But it's true the founders are withering. And there is plenty of new staff I didn't know last time I checked their credentials.

I am truly sorry to hear this. Let's all hope that the current team at Firaxis can pull their weight and continue to produce the great games that we all know and love.

Sad that he is no more within the team... Jeff has been a part of the game() for a long time... Still wish him luck with the new job though! Anyone know what he's going to do at Epic?

Bye, Jeff. Good luck at Epic Games.

I wonder who is going to be President and CEO. Sid, perhaps?
