Archived threads?

I was looking for some threads that I know existed but I cant find it.

I thought that CIV3 threads went to the CIV3 archive after some pre-determined time limit. I checked the FAQS and there's no info there.

So my question is what's wrong? I notice that the search seems very fast (.3s) so I'm wondering if it is in fact working?

It's working but most posts aren't indexed. This means that you will find them if you look for them using date/author, but nothing will turn up if you look for text in the posts.

I.e. if I searched for all threads by SpencerH posted after 10-08-2003, this thread would come up. But if I'd look for all threads posted after 10-08-2003 with the word 'pre-determined' in it, this thread wouldn't be found (that is, assuming this thread isn't indexed, I'm not sure if it is).
