          If I'm not mistaken, grep is a linux command that searches in files for user defined info.

              Harry Seldon is right, it is a linux command for search files for strings.

              Check the following lines.
              line 1256 of definitions
              line 606 of education
              line 1270 of science
              lines 339,1069,1731,2029,2124,2582,3949,4754,5836,6323,6 967 of songs-poems

              If you use a crappy text editor that doesn't tell you the line you're on, switch to emacs.
