Real Questions -
Apolyton Civilization Site
The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

Post stats...
Well, Skanky came closest with the 24th, but nobody expected it to be over 50 days before the next thread.
edit: ok, missed a non-specific thread. 87023.
Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy? "I don't believe in giving scripting languages because the only additional power they give users is the power to create bugs." - Mike Breitkreutz, Firaxis
did it? I couldn't find it And the search isn't working.

Thanks for the link IW. It allowed me to trace down to the first thread posted about it ever.
As Markos puts it :
"Level: shows how much you've posted
HP: shows how good your average posts(posts/day) is. if it's over 3, you'll have full HP
MP: shows how long you've been a member and how active you have been
Exp: shows how close you are to geting to a new level"
Agathon : IIRC, at some point during 2002's summer, Markos included these figures just under our avatars, because he thought it would be fun to have RPG-like stats for each poster (at the very beginning, the stats we hit-point, mana, experience, just like in Diablo)
Since everybody wondered about it, and since people spammed much more to get better stats,, he removed them quickly from the public eye. The post stats you see in the profile are the remnants of this initiative.
Sorry to have brought you here in the community forum while you asked on the OT, but post-stats threads are part of the community forum's lifeblood. You are not personally the butt of some joke, it is absolutely not directed towards you
"I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident "I never had the need to have a boner." -- Dissident "I have never cut off my penis when I was upset over a girl." -- Dis
And then it changed from D&D to Civ, and we're confused again.

Well done Alex, you are the DrSpike post stats challenge champion, wresting the title from Static Universe's gollum-like embrace.
Thanks to those that provided links.........I can't be assed to check whether they are exhaustive.......the thread I linked to in the thread below (with Alex's win) has the exhaustive list.
And while I'm at it, I predict the next thread to start the 16 August

OK cheers. I was being sarcastic. It's a pretty funny contest actually.

Well I've consistently been underestimating the level of ignorance in my last few guesses, so I'm going to go with 7th August...........actually before my guess for the last comp.
Thread will be slyly locked (or forgotten about ) in 10 days.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus
