    So these modified files are accepted by those companies who made the games that are covered on Apolyton.

    Of course, that doesn't mean that they are techically leagal, to which I was refering (and confused).

          I didn't know I was banned as I was in Seattle for the weekend - just found out today when I was puzzled by the "welcome back" messages

          My offence was to post in the community forum pics thread one of RedFred and me at the 3rd annual Vancouver SMAX convention. It was removed by, I guess, one of the moderators.

          I didn't think it was an "illegal" pic - I would accept that one taken from the Homeworld convention or the Sims convention would be, but given that this thread to which I posted is 29 pages long and contains around 100 personal pics, I didn't think I was "flouting" anything

          Other pics I uploaded were relevant to the PEACE faction in the ACDG

          I have removed all my uploads from the system and will not use this feature in the future.

                He was NOT restricted for posting pictures in a "thread"...

                He was restricted for using the Apolyton "uploads" directory for personal pictures... which is against the rules.

                      What's the difference between posting it as an attachment in the Picture thread or putting it in the upload folder? Especially since they were both used for the same thing?

                        The upload folders are only meant for supported game related material... as the rules state.

                        To the best of my knowledge, there are no rules for attachments in the picture thread beyond the normal decency rules
