Here's hoping I can get up early enough. See 'ya tomorrow morning! (although... I would still like to see a specific schedule, not the half-done one in the link at the top of the thread. Hey, I'm just thorough. ).Last edited by Chieftess; July 6, 2006, 22:19.Come over to CFC! | My Pre-Apolyton Roots! ;)

I don't see why you'd want to come in the morning if we're starting in the late afternoon
This is the program as communicated via PM: http://convention.apolyton.net/12/193/

Oh, NOW you tell me... when I asked if it was 7am, MarkG implied that it was.... I already told everyone at work that I'd be taking off that day (even if I had seen the pm, I already told them). This is why I asked last week if it was set in stone, and was expecting to see a full (official) schedule in a thread. I don't check my pm's often here, so that's why I didn't see it.
Now I'm a bit confused. It's starting at 5:30pm for sure tomorrow, right? No daytime stuff on Friday, correct?
I see no Sunday date. Does that mean there's nothing on Sunday now?
(Also, I noticed that this is in the main forum now - probably would've been better that way origanally to allow more visibility, too...).
Oh, and I'm definately not going to the pub Saturday. Plus, I might be out of there by 7pm, since I know my folks don't wanna drive me all the way back at 9pm, then pick me up at 12pm.
I really, really wished this schedule was set atleast a week to a month prior to the event. Had I known it would be this short now...Last edited by Chieftess; July 6, 2006, 23:01.Come over to CFC! | My Pre-Apolyton Roots! ;)

< rant >
So, what was advertised as a "3 day event" (7th-9th) is now essentially a 1 day event (for me atleast - 5:30pm on the 7th to 6:30pm on the 8th). Great planning guys! In these parts, that's called "False Advertising". Why even say it'll extend to the 9th and then have nothing on the 9th at the last minute? I'll still come though. I shelled out $175 for this thing.

Oh, and do clarify this for me:
7:30-9:00: Dinner at An Poitin StilAlcohol
ApolyCon will not provide alcohol(ic beverage) to any Convention Registrant as part of the Convention Fee. “Alcoholic beverage” in the following refers to beer, wine, distilled spirits or any other food or drink containing any alcohol. The Attendee agrees to abide by all laws and regulations of the United States, the state of Maryland and local and site authorities regarding the purchase, transport and consumption of alcoholic beverages. If the Attendee is under 21 years of age he or she agrees not to purchase, attempt to purchase, transport, or consume any alcoholic beverage during the course of the convention.
An Poitin Stil is an Irish Pub. They serve beer. Beer is alcohol.
What ever happened to that discussion I saw about there being pizza and sodas? And a cash bar? Again, I thought there was no drinking.Come over to CFC! | My Pre-Apolyton Roots! ;)

Well, the sound of ANY bar doesn't suit my folks too well. Maybe I'll just come at 8:00pm - if they'll even let me then. I really, really wished this scheduled was finalized before the deadline, and not have vague text like "banquet". They will absolutely REFUSE to let anyone stay up late at night with people who are drinking (especially with 'foriegners' involved - you know, fleeing the country and that kind of stuff. They have a paranoid side, you know.).
And going to a bar (with a room that's 90% male) is like putting candy in front of a kid and saying, "Now don't eat this...".
Atleast at work, my boss told me don't worry about working extra hours (is he psychic? ) Now imagine if I started working an extra 2 hours last week, only to find out that the schedule was changed within this past week?
Might as well go to work tomorrow then... Don't know if it's worth it going at 7pm until maybe 9pm or 10pm.Last edited by Chieftess; July 6, 2006, 23:42.Come over to CFC! | My Pre-Apolyton Roots! ;)
