Big, BIG news! 
KrazyHorse and I have an invitation to both Firaxis and Big Huge Games this upcoming weekend to discuss the convention and, if things go as planned, get at least a verbal agreement to the overall gameplan of the convention - an OK for:
Brian and Sid's involvement in golf and Q&A sessions.
Firaxis and BHG personnel's involvement in workshop and Q&A sessions.
and other issues.
Going from there, I will draw up a formal agreement, haggle a bit, and get it signed by the middle of December.
But wait, there's more!
We are also reviewing hotels, both the Marriott and the Embassy Suites. There is an appointment with ES at 10:00am Friday, and an appointment with Marriott later (undetermined time). Of course that's the same day that we meet with BHG, so it's going to be quite busy!
Fortunately, I get a weekend to relax (hopefully) before meeting with Firaxis on Monday morning.
Anyway, attached is an Excel spreadsheet with hotel check-off items. Mostly the thing is designed to make sure that we know what we have to pay for and as a tool to use when we negotiate the contract. It's not complete, which is why I would like whomever wants to, to review it. If you have any questions or points that you think should be brought up, now is the time to do so. I'm particulary interested, of course, in suggestions dealing with gaming, internet access, A/V and room setup.
