During <B>ApolyCon '06</B> held last month in Timonium, Maryland, <A HREF="http://www.firaxis.com/company/bios.php?bioid=80" TARGET="_new">Alex "alexman" Mantzaris</A> and <A HREF="http://www.firaxis.com/company/bios.php?bioid=85" TARGET="_new">Jon "Trip" Schafer</A> gave a presentation on "Modding <I>Civilization IV</I>" at <A HREF="http://www.hotel-ballt.com" TARGET="_new">event venue</A> <B>Holiday Inn Select-Baltimore North</B>. In the <A HREF="http://convention.apolyton.net/videos/modding_civ4-1.wmv" TITLE="Click to Download (23.5MB)">first of five installments</A>, Mantzaris leads off by noting that while <I>CivIV</I> is very modifiable, it is not very easy to modify. He introduces the three levels of modification abilities and focuses on the first's pros and cons with accompanying code examples: XML. Below is a screenshot from this production:
