If you want to take over a government position, giving you the authority to organize official polls and decisions, please do so! We are currently most in need of a Secretary for Economic Policies and a First Secretary of our capital Republic. Judging from your posts in the turn report thread, you seem an expert in builder strategy, so these positions would be perfect for you.

As for me being rather unactive here, as General Secretary I'm not really supposed to make executive decisions and should preferably stay neutral. Also, some time back the Consciousness was suffering from a similar inactivity as here after Drogue, Corellion and I hardly posted anymore. But in the Consciousness there were still more people interested in continuing than there apparently were here, so I decided to refocus my full attention to the ACDTG again, leaving the ACPSG as it was. If there are again enough people interested in the ACPSG though, I will gladly contribute here as well.

While we're talking about overthrowing government...what about terms?
Aren't we doing 1 months terms and then elections?
<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

            Damn Straight!

Enigma - go to the Apolyton chatroom whenever you can - if I am online (and I am a LOT), more often than not I should be able to discuss the save for some time and I am very happy to do so with ANYone who wants to.

I am no SMAX veteran, so all I have is a little enthusiasm, but I have found that that can help, as it did in #CyCon recently.
            Consul.

Back to the ROOTS of addiction. My first missed poll!

From the constitution, which you can also find a link to under the Party Secretariat Subarchive of the "KGB Archives" topped thread:

              Secretary for Economic Policies

              Tasks and functions:
              • Map out the borders and bases of the Union Republics in our faction.
              • May veto orders of First Secretaries.
              • Set the energy allocations.
              • Move colony pods and determine future base locations.
              • Poll base names and landmark names.

              First Secretaries of Union Republics

Tasks and functions within their republic:
              • Control the movement and use of formers and crawlers supported by their republic's bases.
              • Set production orders and build queues of their bases.
              • May hurry production and order former and crawler upgrades.
              • Move their bases' workers.

I'm no expert - I just have thoughts.
I'll join in... Just tell me where/when the turnchat is!
Usually the chat is Saturday 22.00 GMT, but if there aren't any orders, we cannot hold a chat.

Do you still want to lead The Hive? I mean, if you've got other things...
Sure. It's just that there hardly is a Hive left to lead.

and of course if no-one posts a new turn in a while I'll assume the leadership has become defunct.
The problem doesn't lie with the turn playing: I think GeneralTacticus, the one responsible for the actual turn playing, would be willing to play about any time, at least if there were orders. That's the problem, our executive goverment officials don't start any polls or give any orders, so GeneralTacticus has no guidelines to play the turn.

So I guess that in a week's time, I'm making a coup: Put leadership back to those who want it.
What position do you want? At the moment I would support you if you couped the currently inactive Makahlua, Drogue and Corellion. (Are you still reading this forum guys?? )

I would prefer elections as well from time to time, but back when the constitution was written, a large majority was in favour of a coup system without any elections at all. However if now a majority is in favour of making elections possible, we can amend the constitution.

Maniac is entirely correct re: my playing turns... I'd love to do so, and I have way too much time on my hands, but in the absence of any orders, I can't.

Rather, I'm looking for a position of general influence. Not with the responsibility to do anything, but the right to speak my mind.
That's exactly the attitude that causes us to have no orders. Everyone wants to have the fun, but almost no one wants to take a bit of responsibility and initiative to have that fun.

There *is* one thing I'd like though. Our top base, near the rivers, can it be named Novograd (once it is founded)?
Sure. Though is your intention to have a base called "New City", but then in Russian? In that case I believe "Novgorod" instead of "Novograd" is more correct.
