Up to 7 Player SMACX PBEM game

I would like to start a game. At least 4 Human and the rest Computer players. No Unity survey, preferably blind research (Non-blind if half or more people say so), all victory conditions enabled, do or die.

I will be taking Svensguard of the Pirates.

Settings I prefer:

• Low-Medium Erosion
  
• Medium-Heavy Rain
  
• Low-Medium Native Life
  
• Standard size Planet

I can't take on another game now but 2 pieces of advice

- keep it at 4 players-- more and the game tends to die out as turns are too slow

-- blind research in MP can be very very tough-- It slows down the game a lot by delaying key discoveries that allow more rapid development-- This leads to slower build-up and longer games. It would also tend to benefit the pirates most as you will be the one meeting other factions the most and getting early tech trades

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm more than willing to try planned research, and I think 4 is enough people. I bow to your superior expertise. Now to just find 3 people who have the expansion and want to add a game.

For anyone thinking of joining, I'm willing to change any settings to almost anything. The only main exception is that I want the map size no larger than Standard.

FIne. I'm not very fond of fighting Yang, but I'm glad to have a person in my game. You're in.

On a side note, only the map settings were changed in the edit. Pirates were my original choice for faction.

Pirates were his initial choice as he said-- The greater advantage come from the fact that meeting and trading are more important when it is more difficult to direct research in the paths you wish

I'm willing to play with another Pirate if someone will post here how I go about setting that up. I think all that I'd need to do is save another Pirate faction with a new Color and a new Name, but I'm not sure, so I need some expert advice.

So just to shock him I'll play the Free Drones.
Are we playing with computer AI to fill in the other factions or is it just going to be 2 if by land and 2 if by sea = 4? I say we have AI for the other factions to make things interesting.

I like the idea of starting with IP, so that we can do the short early turns quickly. I'm usually available from 1700-0100 GMT. PLease post what times you are each available on normal days.

We also need votes on whom to have as the Computerized factions. I'm fond of playing against Zeta, Zakharov, Morgan, Lal, and Roze, though I'm willing to play against any.

I'm available most time weekend (apart from maybe sat night) and tue-fri weeknights GMT , not too late on the wed though since ive got col first thing on thursday

what time to start it

Thursdays are good for me at any time of day or night. Sunday nights are good. The rest of the week, it really just depends on my schedule at the time and what time it is.
