    I'm a rookie to MP SMAC/X But Want to play.

    Hello everybody. I have just found this site and would like to participate in play-by-mail-hotseat or IP game.
    If anyone needs a player or just wants to be nice to a novice please let me know. I am experien. in single player and have played a few IP games but still needs a lot to keep up with the real masters...

    Play by emails are really slow.
    I'd be interested in playing an ip game with you, i'm only upto turn 10 of my first MP so i'm new to the online aswell

      Sounds really great. I know of one more that would like to participate.
      Perhaps we could take the first 30-50 years using IP and then change to hotseat. My experience is that turns, upkeep and synchronising of the computers take to much time after this point. So lets find a day ( 8pm-12pm or so) and kickstart a game...

        Arcainite is also interested in an ip game so that would make 4 of us.

          I am sorry but I made a mistake. My suggestion is Thursday 24/10 at 8 pm. I hope you get this and you and that amirican fellow are ready for a game then.

            online now ok thursday should be fine for me aswell, will post if it isn't.
            Arcainite will have read the forums by that time so he'll be able to say if he can make it.

                  One for all: Allow cooperative victory : YES
                  Do or Die: Dont restart eliminated players : NO
                  Look First: Flexible starting locations : YES
                  Tech Stagnation: Slower research rate : NO
                  Spoils of War: steal tech when conquer base : YES
                  Blind Research: Cannot set precise research goals : NO
                  No unity survey: World map not visible : YES
                  No unity scattering: Unity pods only at landing site : YES
                  Bell Curve: No random events : YES
                  Difficulty level: Trandscent

                  The map:
                  Size: Large
                  Ocean coverage: 50-70% ocean coverage
                  Erosive forces: Average
                  Native lifeforms: Average

                  Some rules:

                  Inserting Stockpile Energy into the build queue after a military unit is forbidden.

                  Communications only allowed between factions that have obtained each others' commlink frequencies in-game.
