    Version 4.0 for me, too.

    2103 to Chaunk.

    --------------

{fingers crossed} because I know the game is well designed and will be a lot of fun.

I personally don't mind a restart if that's what it takes to work things out.

Bad news, I'm afraid (I realized that I could play out the next round or two of turns as I had all the passwords)

Not only does the problem persist, but after three turns every player sees these six manifold nexi (?) and ocean monoliths etc

I'll go back to the base scenario and make sure that everything is in order and reissue the starting turn.

I had a thought that might be the cause. I added to alpha.txt and alphax.txt under SIZEWORLD the line Humungous Planet, 128 x 256 (anf changed the # from 5 to 6. That lets me see the Humungous Planet as a choice in the menu when I am starting a game.

But PBEMs carry with them them, embedded in the sav file, the alpha.txt rules of the game so maybe your systems are looking for that diff planet size and not finding it, so mucking up the map graphics as a result.

I'll edit out my humungous map and redo the gamestart and let'sa see if it works this time (That's why I prolly couldn't recreate the problem from Darsnan's start rturn, only from the already corrupted one that KK sent me - I think)

I've amended my alpha.txt (restored to its original) and a restarted 2102 has been sent to Darsnan

        Fingers crossed

Argh! This restart just cost me a MW I had captured my first turn previously! Somehow I know this is all Krysia's Krusaders fault!

          Turn to Q!

                          Uhhh... Chaunk.

Since we're a team, I don't want the other guys to know what we're sayin' when we're communicatin' at the thread. Alright ?

So I'm going to look in the " U.N. Secret Bureaucratic Code Book " and try to find a code for us here. Okay ?

AND DON'T SAY NOTHIN' TILL WE GOT THIS FIGURED OUT !

Are we to assume that since we're now in the 2103 round that the map's OK now?

Googlie, everything looked good in my two turns. I guess KK would have told us if the same problems had popped up again. Thanks for detecting the problem and fixing it for us.

Oh, and KK, I hope you and Chaunk work out your communications issues. shadowlord3 and I have no such concerns.

This message has been censored by the U.N. Beaurocrats who think that turn notifications are almost allways the direct cause of baldness in men over the age of 2. As a result of this, the turn may or may not have been sent to SL3, and we apologise for any inconvinience caused.

Normal service will be resumed when I find that £%*"&£ code book!
