I'm sorry guys, it must be my fault. I commented on how smoothly and quickly this game was going... I cursed it.
The turn is sitting with Shai and his disfunctional computer, as I play after him and hadn't recieved anything yet. Seems to be a lot of disfunctional computers out there. I generally blame it on sunspots... since El Niño isn't much of an excuse any more.

Turn sent to duMa, 2173.
Back in business. First my computer got all messed up(defragmented drive, spyware, windows gone crazy...the usual). After that I had problems with my ADSL so I couldn't get a connection. Of course this all had to happend while I'm taking my exams. Hope you'll understand. It should work now."I'm having a sort of hard time paying attention because my automated teller has started speaking to me, sometimes actually leaving weird messages on the screen, in green lettering, like "Cause a Terrible Scene at Sotheby's" or "Kill the President" or "Feed Me a Stray Cat", and I was freaked out by the park bench that followed me for six blocks last Monday evening and it too spoke to me."

FYI: The rule for probing has been slightly reworded for PBEM tourney games.
"If an aggressive probe action (anything except infiltration) is used on a faction you have a truce, treaty or pact with, you must select 'Declare Vendetta' in the dialog box that appears afterwards, and notify the victim of your transgression, unless you have received permission in advance. No notification is required in other cases."
The key change is the addition of 'truce,' which means that the only time you don't have to notify someone of stealing a tech/map is when you are at vendetta with them, or have recieved prior permission.
I suggest we all play by this rule.
