News from Angels' Free Radio:

The administration today announced that the Hive have declared war on us. This declaration was unprovoked, and seems to be related to the Chairman Yang's irrational hatred of democracy and the free market. Datajack Zaphod, in an emergency session of Parliament at the capital in Data DeCentral, took a defiant stance against the Hive, saying that "we will defend ourselves against all aggression, and, if necessary, take offensive measures against our attackers." He did not elaborate on what those measures might be.

Our allies the Cyborgs have already rallied to aid us, and have declared war against the Hive for their aggression. We can look for some cooperative actions in the future.

The Hive seem to be quite serious about pressing the war to our territory. Unofficial sources within the military have said that an invasion fleet has been spotted off the coast near Opticommons. The same sources have said that we have all the appropriate defenses in place and no one should be concerned about sustained attacks within our territy.

Here's a news flash from Angels Free Radio:

A small Hive recon rover force landed on our shores yesterday, and threatened a terraforming team that was working nearby. Fortunately, there was a friendly security team in the vicinity, and a brief conversation about the benefits of our culture was all that was needed to convert the Hive troopers to our cause. Apparently, conditions are quite severe in the Hive military.
