Yeah, I spend most of my day at home with my kids, working on the website, shipping orders and pressing F5 to see if I got email or moves.
All my games are going really slowly this week, driving me nuts.

*Expeditionary fleet “Bushido”, on a mission near base Kaga*
“Captain, our sensors have detected a large metal object nearby. I believe it could be a Unity pod.”
“Very well. Operator, order the fleet to close in on that position.”
An hour later...
“Er... Captain?”
“Go ahead, Lieutenant.”
“I’m picking up an alien lifeform on the sensors. One of those ‘Isles of the Deep’ Yamato fleet discovered last year. It dived up right besides the pod and... it is swallowing it!!”
“What!?! We must prevent that. Tac Officer, shoot that little monster into pieces.”
“We’re out of range sir. And the Isle of the Deep seems to be heading towards that large patch of fungus. It would be foolishness to follow it in there; our sensors can’t yet penetrate through the native plantgrowth.”
“Indeed sir. I just lost it. It could be hiding anywhere in the fungus by now.”
“And attack us while we’re unguarded. Operator, tell everyone to move southwards. Let’s hope we’re not diving in the arms of that Isle.”
“And let’s also hope the Isle doesn’t float down to Kaga base.”, captain Honshu added in his thoughts.
*Military control tower, base Kaga*
Why does nothing ever happen here?, private Shikoku sighed. In all the years he was in military duty, the most exciting thing ever happened was the sergeant spilling his cup of coffee over his sensor machinery. He frequently wished he was serving on some expeditionary ship. Now these guys saw some real action! Here it was all days the same old same old routine. But that was about to change.
“Hey sergeant, I’m picking up increased electromagnetic activity. What the heck can this mean?”
“Don’t know sonny. I’ll check the manual. You just hold on.”
“Better be quick sir. The activity is increasing. It’s even disturbing my instruments.”
“Yeah yeah. Here! I’ve got it. Page 643. Electromagnetic disturbance.”
Sergeant Hokkaido was running his finger along the page.
“It says here this could be an indication oooooooof... oh ****... Mind Worm attack!!”
“Er... may I suggest we warn the garrison, sergeant?”
“No can do, boy. Our ‘most honoured’ admiral Yamamoto thought it would be better to first produce a transport. We’re just in the process of assembling some troops for a defensive garrison. That son of a ***** with his risky policies! We’re just sitting ducks. We’re all gonna die!!!
Shikoku and Hokkaido were embracing each other tightly, eyes closed and cheeks against each other. A sergeant-major walked in.
"Soldiers, what are you doing??", he asked in fury.
"A.. a.. an isle of the deep is about to attack us sir. We're all gonna die!"
"You mean that hatchling swarm that suddenly attacked us an hour ago? Oh come on, we dealt with that very quickly. It only managed to damage some of the transports of Ainu Fleet which happened to lay in port at that time. But they'll be back up and running in some months."
"Oh yes, the reason I came here! Private Shikoku, I want to congratulate you personally with your promotion to corporal. You've been assigned on one of the Ainu transports as an operator. Good luck!"

Dancing girls! Entrance stage right!
And act.....er, what was that?
Not this kind of a production? OOOOhhhhh, base production. Ok, got it.
Say that again?
He still wants the dancing girls? Ok, let him know that they are on their way to him.
