I HAVE played some turns of PBEMs when "under the influence"--it makes for some interesting play as you abandon something long planned and say heck with it and start a war or something

Being two non-researching giants the tech breakthrough are far and long between. So even though it's 2177 we don't have better weapon than we do. As you wrote earlier, a real sluggerfest.
