Hive air recon units looked in disbelief at the destruction left from the retreating Gaians. The once elegant streets of "New Jerusalem" were now clogged with only blackened burnt remains of half standing buildings.
The self destruction of the Gaian city and the innocent citizens who once inhabited the city indicated that "Operation Mongoose" as picked up through communication traffic was thoroughly successful!

What about that other city the Gaians eliminated last turn, as well? Was it "blackened and charred", too? We couldn't tell from the altitude!
Move 2210 onto "D". Ya, the former Spartan city was blackened and charred as well! The Gaians are good at the scorched earth policy! Just another Spartan city gone!
I somehow (scratch head ), misplaced the save file. I have sent a file to knowhow2 (2209) hoping that I just mislabeled it. If not then I'll have to replay the turn.
I dunno what happened, I'm very systematic with these things. I suspect that I may have been tired and clicked a wrong command when saving it last night...
This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters. It's the purity of focus, without fear of death or pain.
I was reloading the turn when I got a brilliant idea ! I figured that if I used Windows Explorer, I could find where I had missplaced the original file. So I (with great anticipation), 'escaped' out of the game, and proceeded in the search... The search turned up nothing. So there will be an additional save/load warning because of this vain attempt... So, all in all, there should be at least 2 and probably 3 such warnings...
Things that turned up different from the original time I played (as best as I can remember) :
- There was a fungal bloom ( from eco-dammage ) that destroyed one of my Farms' + Condensor.
- I forgot to fry a Wild Mindworm ( which will probably eat one of my sensors )
- I forgot that: One of you had put the 'Always investigate Monolith' preference to "on". So when I tried to move my 1-2t-2 to an empty base, it stoped at the Monolith en route (thus ending it's turn).
- One of my naval units ran into a Wild IoD (from which I ran!).
- I forgot to adjust my energy-labs ratio.
- Two combats against Native Life turned out with slightly worst results to me (10-20%).
No pods were popped, no units violated anybodies sovreignty, no raising/lowering of land was performed.

That 'Always Investigate Monoliths' preference is odious!
MariOne has espoused the position, and I concur, that having a unit's turn ended prematurely because of somebody's use of this preference is grounds enough in and of itself for a replay.
Just my $.02. I seem to be posting in other players' threads today 'cause all my games aren't here.
Security council chairman Secretary of State Stone adjourned the meeting which officially closed "Operation Seaside" that had been put into place to secure the country's borders from eastern incursion from the Believers. This threat was no longer.
The Joint Chiefs announce to the Council "Operation Zipper" and "Operation Cloud". The overview was successfully received by the members of the council for ultimate decision by Chairman.
