It is very interesting see how the Spartans view the events which unfolded at the Gaian base in The Great Dunes these past two Standard Turns! Just to set the stage for this, 3 Standard Turns ago the Gaians, in a deal with the Spartans, turned over control of an Alien Artifact to the Spartans at The Sunny Mesa, in exchange for the tech the Spartans could develop from this, as well as fostering amicable relations between our two factions! Two Standard Turns ago the Spartans sidled up to our base with probe teams and a scout patrol to shield them from being repatriated to Spartan territory! We opened this Standard Turn now with our base in ruins, and the Spartan's Probe personnel picking through the wreckage for any valuable techs that their feeble researchers have yet been able to discover themselves! For the Spartans to say that we attacked them is ludicrous! We challenge the Spartan High Command to give creedence to their statements about Gaian aggression causing this conflict to begin! Regardless, the Spartans will now have several Intelligence reports showing the Gaians will not simply falter in this conflict!Originally posted by knowhow2
