I wonder if Lord_Icewind is still going to join. It'll be a shame to have just 3 players but I don't think we should wait forever before playing. I can host. We definitely should play SMAX, not SMAC. Looks like Tubok wants Pirates, I want Gaians, and Hoek wants Peacekeepers. If Icewind plays, I guess he can have pirates and Tubok takes Datajacks.

I don't think we should play on a huge world because that would take forever to do anything.

The length of the game should be indefinitely long. We definitely have the capability to save it if we want to continue another day.

Forget about the mud. I probably shouldn't have mentioned that as an option for all of us communicating with each other.

This'll be my first time doing a multiplayer alpha centauri game. I'll give you guys my IP address when I get home tonight. I'd like to test connecting to the game via IP so I can see what it looks like. I'm at work at the moment. What's your email addresses, Icewind and Hoek?

I would like to be pirates, and if i can't, then i'll take the cyborgs.
But I would prefer pirates...i play vs the AI with them, mostly.
So...when do we start?

maybe it could be the Drones and Morganites...i don't know...

and for the map:

medium-large sized map
50/50 land/water
dense clouds
low native life? or medium
medium errosion

And rules, i guess we pretty much agree upon (and no unity scattering since we're playing with pirates

Sounds good. Just got hope and will check the connection shortly, with the IP# you sent me Ice. IF everybody is going to have a hard time getting on at agreed times, then PBEM would be better...but (as I'm just now starting an on-line game) on-line is more fun. Can chat and send messages back and fort. Plus no mistake to be made in emailing the turn to wrong person...wasting time. This evening is a test...and actual game starts Saturday? I hope it starts after 7pm EST (as I may be working that day).
