  • Non-PBEM game on Linux?

Anyone interested in a non-PBEM game using the Loki port of SMAC/SMAX? The port and the Win. version aren't MP-compatible on non-PBEM games; that's why I ask. If anyone wonders why I don't want a PBEM game, it's because I have a free (read: unreliable) Internet connection.

I have a dynamic IP, so it'd be best if you contact me on ICQ first (UID: 29841282).

Rules generally lean this way in games I play:

    World map IS visible.
    No random events.
    Scattering.
All victories, spoils of war, do or die.
Low difficulties (I usually play Citizen -- I'm a rank newbie), but I could go higher if needed.
Few or no AIs (they are horrible players, even on Transcend).
I get University, what you choose is up to you.
    SMAX -- no aliens.
Ocean: 30-50%, rare mind worms, rocky terrain, dense cloud cover.

Thx in advance -- you can also contact me by e-mailing me at .
