Actually, I check my email many times per day, but I only check this site when I send a turn and sometimes at work. In fact, I've never quite seen the point of a turn tracking thread - I much prefer to track turns by email (each person emails the group when he sends the turn). However, for a tournament game, I can see that Tau Ceti might want this thread for administration purposes.

Now that I'm at work I was going to say "Turn to Paul" but I see that he has already sent it on.

Is there any limits on how long someone is allowed to be away without first, making an announcemnet or something?

I believe that officially the limit is two days. However, I like to give a guy the benefit of the doubt and wait a few extra days. He might have computer problems, or a family emergency, or any number of things.

I sent an email to Buster and he did not reply, so it seems that for some reason he is away or unable to get online.
