Nope - the last one I had from Solver was 2111 which I played and sent...'No room for human error, and really it's thousands of times safer than letting drivers do it. OHHHH SOLVER- --- Where are you ?
Rant mode ON.
This game has been moving at a snail's pace. We got through the first 5 turns where the longest turnaround time for anyone was 16 hours. Now we have had a series of longer delays with no explanation. I have been trying to identify what is going on ( not to blame but to get the game moving) and have found
Dr Faustus-- excellent turn rate -- longest was 18 hours and generally VERY fast
cbn -- all turns were played within 12 hours of receipt with the exception of a declared 3 day absence
SITS-- hard to tell since we do not usually have the benefit of Solver's posts to know when the turn was sent BUT always seems to reasonably fast
Twister --seems to be the fastest of the lot on weekdays but has considerable delays on weekends ( perhaps you do not play on weekends Twister??)
Solver-- There now seems to be a hitch with Solver. The last 3 turns from Solver have taken 2.5 days, 12 hours and 2.5 days respectively and these are estimates since we have to glean things from SITS' posts since Solver is not posting here, adding to the uncertainty as to the turn location. Missing turn notifications would not be so bothersome if it was a player that was playing quickly.
So my question is to Solver as to whether this can be improved.
There is not much we can do there except get the turn to Twister on Friday (assuming there is a weekend problem) so the weekend delay is minimized.
Rant mode OFF
whew!-- hate to be a complainer but we can do better than this--its obvious that Dr Faustus is equally discontent.

I agree with cbn and the good Doctor.
BTW I consider myself to be good at turn around time. I don't believe I've ever taken more than a day....
Still no turn from Solver'No room for human error, and really it's thousands of times safer than letting drivers do it. But the one in ten million has come up once again, and the the cause of the accident is sits, something in the silicon.' - The Gold Coast - Kim Stanley Robinson

SITS
I knew you were always pretty fast but had very few posts from Solver to measure from

hey Solver
Where are you? We are now up to 3/4 of the other participants that are wondering what is up. Three times in the last four turns your turnaround time has been days not hours. This is unacceptable to me.I expect and accept some delays SOMETIMES but yours have been both repeated and unexplained. If life is too busy, drop out of the game and let someone else play. Because unless you do something, this game is about to fall apart.

One last note-- I checked Solver's profile and he is posting to other threads on the Apolyton board. According to the profile he posted to a CIV thread on the 15th (after DrFaustus last post)Last edited by cbn; June 16, 2001, 03:22.

I have the 2112 from Twister who was unable to post here (as was I for most of today) and will play after work .
Solver :
Twister says his score was 7 so that makes everbody whose scores are posted in this thread. So you can take them and put them where you need for the calculations. As for your comments
Yes games have slow and fast periods. It will happen that I or anyone may be busy and not play for several hours or be away etc. But try to let people know what is up since a 2 day turnaround for an INDIVIDUAL should be the exception and not the rule. Repeated 2-3 day delays with no notice start to tick people off.
I have no idea what the scores have to do with you playing the turn. All scores but one were posted here for some time and an email to the individual directly would have gotten the information. I don't see what is so time-sensitive about the ratings anyway. Its not like anything is hung up waiting for these, is there?
Edit --crosspost-
