Indeed - for six weeks now I've been wrestling with telephone modems that occasionally run as slow as 14,000 - waiting for the damn pages to load, then every time having to get rid of this stupid e-bay box ad that's crashed my machine twice now -

I made up my mind that I was just going to avoid posting to the turn threads (and I will as soon as I get e-mail groups made out for each game I'm in)

Last Saturday I played 33 game turns (I'm in 23 games) and spent over 8 hours in smac/x. Over 2 hours was waiting for thread post screens to load.

What a stupid waste of time.
