2104 to the Gaians -- great turn rate-- a 5 hour turnaround for 4 players!! If we keep this up we'll be into the interesting stuff in no time.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

A messenger raced into the temple " Oh holy one-- The mindworm that has joined our cause has encountered a wild worm. This wild worm would not heed our call to join our quest and was destroyed. We have salvaged the remains and it appears that Planet has been bountiful-- 10 energy were generated by the remains"

The great and glorious year 2105 has begun, with me sending the turn to the Drones.

        ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Base commander's report 29, year 2104: Our colony pods have just slipped into the bay. It apears to be a good base site. High mineral deposits sit at the bay's mouth, and the devilish xenofugus protects it's perimeter.

This base will be named for our old leader, who had a accident while we came down to the surface. It is called: Port Stevensgard.

Well, I think I sent turn #3 to the Drones...Arakkora, PLEASE DON"T EVER SEND A FILE WITH A COMA IN IT'S NAME EVER AGAIN! SMAX messes up the family computer(the one with the internet conection), so I try to transfer the saved game file to a floppy, then to my personal comp. It sees anything with a "," as illegal. Lock up is the result. The file also seemed to mess with the game on my computer, and I had to reinstall. So far, not a good first PBEM game.

---The Commodore (with gray hairs), out.

2105 sent to the Cult of Planet.

I had to reload the game once because the first time I opened the turn the game thought all of my units had already moved. When I reopened the turn it went fine. Sorry I don't know what happened.

                      2106 to the Gaians

I had to do a reload due to computer freeze-up.

Prophet cbn addressed his people. "It has been a harsh 6 years. The fungal growth seems to extend far into the horizon. Planet speaks to us of mindworms that might aid in our quest and we must hope that they shall appear. Also our communications network has picked up indications that other humans have safely landed as well. We rejoice in their survival and intend to greet them in peace. But we must also be wary of those who fear those on the True Path. We must constantly strive to show them The Way of Planet. Go with Planet !!!!

Turn 2107 has been sent to Forman q-tip.

                          ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gunship Captain Ross, 2106.54, personal log:
I saw a mystery today, one which we shall never solve...Today, in the sky, I've seen a battle. I know not who they where, nor why they fought. Above us, they blew up in a massive fireball...two specks flew from the blast, but they ran into eachother. We will never know what happened, but I feel relief.
