  • Turns of AXT019 game, second thread

It looks like Mark13 has volunteered to take over the Hive. In honour of this momentous event, I have decided to start a new thread.

The old thread can be found here.

The players of this game are now:

Welcome to Mark13, many thanks for stepping in. Let's see if we can get this game moving! (Hope Oniron is still around after all this, grin).

        Dear Chairman Mark,

It is my pleasure to welcome you amongst us, and to wish you the wisdom of your predecessor Chairman Emjaycue. As you might or might not know, Emjaycue was about to ravish Worker's Paradise from Foreman Domai's grasp. Last year, however, long and tedious negotiations with the Drones delivered Worker's Paradise to the Nautilus Pirates. In exchange, the KFA (more on them in the old thread) has agreed to dispatch one of its armored sea vessels to enhance the city's lush marine vegetation. Construction of the first kelp farm is scheduled to begin within two years.

Obviously, both units directly East of Worker's Paradise need to take account of the new borders and leave Nautilus territory now. I suggest you expand North of your bases (free land until the North Pole), or West of your bases (free land for more than a third of the planet including the Garland Crater).

Looking forward to a continued fruitful cooperation,

        Cheers,

        Captain Oniron

Turn 2130 sent to Datajack Misotu of the Data Angels.

PS I'm going to be in many different cities during the next few days, including in the US from the 23rd, so my turnover time might be a little sketchy for a while. However, if I can't process the turn for any significant amount of time, I will let you know.

          Captain Oniron,

First of all, thankyou for letting me be a part of this very interesting game. I will, of course, comply with Emjaycue's agreements and withdraw from Nautilus territory. However, let it be said that I will in no way become puppets of the Pirates. I am not certain exactly the circumstances in which Worker's Paradise was delivered to the Pirates, so I will leave it at that for now. Having said that, any hostile action, ultimata etc. will be dealt with severely.

Also, any hostile action against my Pact Sister, Datajack Misotu, will be treated as an act of war.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and good luck on your travels,
          Chairman Mark13

Turn received but unfortunately, every time I try to load it, the game crashes immediately before I even get to the password screen (so hopefully no reload messages!).

I've emailed Oniron to ask him if he can trying sending again ...

Ever since I got to the US (I'll be back in Oxford in a week), I can't sent mail directly. Before resorting to web mail, I tried to ftp the turn to my Oxford account. Unfortunately, this corrupted the turn as I learned with the test file that I mistakenly sent Misotu in my last mail instead of the proper one which is now on its way
