I resent to joer, who then resent to you because the game was stalled No-one posted that they'd played, so it was hard to tell where we'd got stuck. Turns out I didn't get Tig's send. Anyway, we're back on track ... 2139 sent to UoP.Team 'Poly

The Peacekeepers would like to emphasise to both of the other factions that they have not taken sides against either. Our preference is for no war. If there is a war, and if we are in a position to do anything about it, we're likely to come in on the side of whoever is losing in an attempt to restore the peace.Team 'Poly

We are aware that the Peacekeepers will be, in the end, the major winners of this war of resources. At this point, it's doubtful that either the Believers or the University will gain as much from the war as they have invested into it.
But, yes, we respect the choices they make. Right now, we have absolutely no desire to pressure them in any way or threaten diplomatic relations with them.
As for the war against the Believers, we were forced into that through blackmailing attempts. We just took the stance of not backing down to the threats they made, especially in a time when they could not back it up. Currently, the price they pay is high.
Our intention is still peaceful, and if the Believers make a serious attempt of ending this futile, useless war, we would like to take them up on it.

It is nice for you to say we started a war, when despite the fact all we had done is posture you land troops on our mainland and bombard our shores with your boats. The first shots were fired by the University and that is the way it will go down in history when the victors write it.

Sorry for the late post, just couldn't get anything up on the board yesterday.

The Peacekeepers are extremely concerned to see that nerve gas has been deployed by the University. Continued use of this appalling weapon will bring doom on us all in the form of rising sea levels.

We honour the Believers for their respect for the environment. We are also glad to see that the University has not deployed nerve gas this year. In view of this, it is possible that the economic sanctions imposed on the University could be lifted in 19 years.
