Go to www.firaxis.com/smac
in the download section, all the way on the bottom of the page, look for the alien crossfire patch "smacx v2.0". It enables some of the new factions abilities that were not working (the cyborgs' techsteal and the drones facrion ability to convert revolting bases for example were not working). The patch also fixes a bunch of other stuff.
You might already have it and don't know it. Did the Cyborgs techsteal work when you played smacx? If so, you probably have the patch.

I don't know. I bought myself a game where i have both SMAC and SMACX on the same CD.
Box have 'Dutch version' sticker on it,but everything inside is pretty much in english,xcept Alien Crossfire manual which,beside english part,also have dutch and greek translation (how useful
).
Haven't tried SMACX yet so am not sure if patch is planted on it or not.
Anyway...am d/l-ing patch now. 4,89 MB already done.My life, my rulesComment

Still waiting for my 1st multiplayer turn.
With tremendeous speed we exchanging game files,i expect we could finish this game approximately same year when real human colonist arrive in orbit of Alpha Centauri

SmartFart: I got your email but there is no attachment! Did you forget to include the save game as an attachment? If you did send the attachment, then maybe Outlook Express blocked it. It is not suppose to, but you never know with Microsoft software

To morgan. My escape capsule had the fortune to land on a rich delta, with three nutrient deposits within it's radius. I expect massive population growth once I get a planned economy going. How're you guys doing?Comment

2103: back to PK's.
Morgan landed on a small river close to the Monsoon Jungle. No Unity pods around the Highquarters,but 1st one was found 2103 in the Jungle and rich mineral resources were found under it. 2nd colony pod is already inside the Monsoon Jungle,waiting NY:2104 to build our 2nd base.
Land looks friendly so far,but lack of Unity pods may be a problem.
How are we supposed to deal with diplomacy between 3 of us? I propose no negotiation at all between human factions,because AI could do something we don't like. At least,thats my expirience from Civ2 MP.
Other factions are free to bribe for PG or exploatation of any kind,but no human,OK?
What do you guys think about it?

Do you mean no negotiation of any kind, or just no formal treaties? I don't think the AI will react to just trading tech or maps.Comment
