MY 2183 sent to Korn.
CONTACT! In a normal game, I would be delighted to meet another free-marketer. The commerce we might generate is enough to make any good monopolist drool!
Unfortunately, this is not a normal game. I was rather forced to destroy those two foil probes lurking in the fungus.
Have you no shame, Korn? Do your own research! hehe

before i play my turn i want some clarification
i REALLY wanna proclaim myself govenor so i can gain infiltration
is that disallowed?
i feel that the settings are already slightly in morgan's favor and a big point that i raised was that morgan would have a hard time getting to be govenor against Santiago and now at the present time that point is of the greatest importance
what does everybody think?
is me getting govenor too unfair
and if it is so unfair then that means that morgan is a weaker faction than the spartans which was the whole point of this challenge anyways
so is morgan strong enough to come back from me assuming the govenorship? if he is then can i call the council and elect myself?

If you were playing Lal in a one-on-one challenge against some other faction, then I could see you calling an election to make yourself governor, because Lal has a significantly better than average chance of becoming governor - it is a specific advantage of the faction. But the Spartans have at best an average chance of the governorship, it is not as if it is something they get regularly - honestly, what do you think your chances would be in a 4-player game with someone else playing Lal? Given that Mongoose repeatedly insisted up front that there be no governorship, it seems pretty harsh to turn around after 95 turns and take it.
Just comments from the peanut gallery, of course

well if you count submissives then i think the spartans have the second best chance of getting the govenorship
they can pop boom to get big population
easiliy force the AI to submit to enlist votes
and they have the second best in population control
so i think the spartans are right after lal in getting the vote and that morgan falls dead last
but oh well i won't elect myself govenor
time for plan b: break out the nerve gas

I don't mean to crowd up the turn thread, but I agree with Korn469. Morgan has serious population problems in the beginning. Santiago has +1 police and is more likely to have submissives. In multiplayer Morgan has almost no chance of getting other human players to vote for him or even sign treaties. Well that is probably why Mongoose didn't want you to be able to elect yourself governor.
On a side point I think that Miriam is just as likely to be able to elect herself governor as Santiago. I think she can have a bigger population, because of no industry penalty and high support.

Please Sikander send us a summary! Anything will do, I am very interested in this game. Once it is finished could I possibly have save files of every 15 years or so from you two? Thanks.
I agree that not having any AI's does take away the governor issue somewhat. In a MP game Lal almost always is the governor, after him whoever has the empath guild, with some exceptions.
If this were to be played on a Huge map then Korn would stand much less of a chance, 10% spread over that much land can be pretty significant. Well, I am rambling again.
But Sikander please finish your report!
