Lately I've been receiving too, from different senders, attachments with 4 char extensions, ranging from .zipe (yipe!) to .zipÄ.
All you have to do is save the attachment (instead of directly opening it and extracting), rename the file on your HDU, and then open it normally.

Of course I sent the pseudo-Goob turn (my Saturday morning), and I'll keep doing this till I hear from Goob.
