  • do you need old threads?

In near future we will have to archive lots of the posts in order for the search feature to work. As we would like to keep all posts, we have to make some choices about those that are really important. So, do you need the old threads of this forum?

thanks for your cooperation in this

Markos, I guess not (at least, I don't).

Most of them are just "turn sent to XXX", so they're not really necessary. Make sure you dont remove the active ones, though...

I agree. When in doubt if a thread is still needed, you could make a post in that thread asking if it's not needed. (but that sounds like a lot of work ).

You know Markos, if it would make it easier, all you have to do is ask that a new turn thread be made for each of the games being tracked. A certain charecter could be added to the thread to let you know not to archive that paticular thread. IE: LeeSt turns~. By adding the ~, you would know not the archive that one, and that any others relating to that game are storable. Just an idea.

Aredhran, I will be probably deleting threads with last post that are older than 10 days or so...
I think this wont cover an active game, right?

couslee, everyone would have to learn this rule, and it could work for the future not now...

OK, I have posted in all the threads that were close to the 10-day limit but are still active (as far as I know).

Everyone, I suggest you do the same thing to "your" threads, and then tell Markos to go ahead and kill the old stuff.
