I would be very interested in playing multiplayer with someone or a group of people. I've played LAN before.

Looking for a new and interesting challenge, not the best player but I'm certainly not bad. Just beat Transcendence as the Morganites today with a 213% rating by Ascent. Was making about 1700 per turn with discoveries every turn.

Could someone provide an explanation of PBEM? I've never tried it.

I'm getting Crossfire in a few days, so if you want to play or invite into a play group, IM me on AIM (Sark6354201) or email me (Jasonamdk62@hotmail.com).

    Happy Easter

Basically PBEM is based on old days of stragety boardgames. People would sign up via a magazine (Avalon Hills IIRC) and they'd exchange letters. They would pick which game, which sides, etc, and agree on rules then everybody'd set up their boards. Then the first person would play his turn then mail his moves to the next player who will play his turn and do the same to the next player (most of the time there's only two players).

Today with the email, you get to play by email by sending an attachment of your turn to the next player in the turn order.

You can also play a TCP/IP game, which is much faster, but with less perfection.

      PBEM usually is 6months - 1year long from 2101 to 2210 (sometimes till 2230)
Although we in "Scenario for testing" thread are making something close to a new record - were 3 and the pbem is at 2157 (started at 2102) now.
      Its 55 turns in 3 months & 8days (we started at 02.02.2004)

TCP/IP is usually 6 - 24 hours long, it can be also transfered to PBEM (worx both ways)
To play TCP/IP, show interest in "TCP/IP game" thread by posting your contact info and get ICQ contact list from Dreifels page: http://smac.2be.cc
You should really get ICQ account, because we, IPers contact mostly through it, Its an excellent tool!

Also, if you want SMAX, you can download ir from Dreifels page (Files/Tools&other/scroll to the very bottom name:"multiuser SMAX/c", all sound files above it)

      See ya in IP!
