SMAC XP fix game multiplayer

Recently dusted off my copy of SMAC and worked through the cpu not supported fix:

Add this line to Alpha Centauri.ini file: ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1

I had to add the XP fix as I dont have SMAX.

I Am looking for a multiplayer game with 2 or more other people using Direct Play but I have never done this before .
