I have the SMAC Planetary Pack [SMAC and SMAX], so which patches, if any, do I need to apply for it to be up-to-date?

I don't believe that you need any patches; you can verify that by checking the versions to make sure that you have SMAC v4 and SMAX v2. -
None of the disks come with the patches. The planetary pack is just one each of Smac & Smac-x warpped together with plastic.Gaius Mucius Scaevola Sinistra
