    Application of patches...

    Hello!

    I have just gotten Alpha Centauri and Alien Crossfire off Ebay. I don't have installation instructions, so if someone could be nice enough to tell me how I go about applying the Firaxis patches...

    Do I install SMAC and then run patch 4.0? Or do I just install both SMAC and Alien Crossfire, and apply the AC patch only? What I am trying to figure out is if all the enhancements from 4.0 are included by default in Alien Crossfire or not.

    The modifications of AC 4.0 are included by default in Alien Crossfire. What you need to do is install both, download the Alien Crossfire 2.0 patch, and install that.

      If you bought (as I suspect is possible) the Planetary Pack, comprising both AC and Alien Crossfire in one package, both games are already patched to the latest version. Just install and play if that is the case.

        Evil Robot: Yup, that is what I ended up doing. It works great!

        And it wasn't the Planetary Pack, I got both on separate CD's.
